I suspect that dx12 "support" on win 7 it is not so good. Anyhow things goes wrong for me, infact i can't even launch the game. Devs are using dx12 dll's in order to implement somedx12 functions in a win7 64 system, so you do not need to install anything, just install the game and it "should" work. Until now i found that microsoft will not realese a dx12 runtime to install on win7 so i suggest you to stay away from websites that claim that you can download dx12 from them. Gazooks I had the same problem in figuring out what the hell means dx12 on win 7. When I search it on Google all I find are articles talking about how Directx 12 is and has come to Windows 7.ĭr. The first (and so far only) game to gain DX12 support in Windows 7 is World of Warcraft, enabled with the 8.1.5 patch. Despite this, I am really struggling to find how to upgrade to Directx 12. DirectX 12 Ultimate gives developers a large, multi-platform install base of hardware to target, and ready-made tools and examples to work from - all backed by time-saving middleware. I am currently on Windows 7 and am on Directx 11, but CDProjekt Red said that because Microsoft was putting Directx 12 on Windows 7, I would be able to play this game on Windows 7. To download and install this new driver, simply fire up GeForce Experience and click the 'Drivers' tab. I keep constantly crashing near the start-up and I believe I have figured out how I can fix a major portion of it, or at least a portion of it.

I am having issues with playing Cyberpunk 2077. CPU, Intel Core i7-10700K (3.80 GHz) or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (3.80 GHz).
